So I should have put it like this, why does my dad check the oil and water in her car sometimes before she leaves and is sitting in it?Someone said its a bit odd he checks my moms oil and water in her car when she gets home.?
You dad is just getting a little motor oil to use in the frying pan when he cooks your eggs.Someone said its a bit odd he checks my moms oil and water in her car when she gets home.?
About the first part of the question (checking when she gets home): Maybe he wants to get an idea of how much oil goes up into the engine when the car is running. The dipstick will show higher when the car has been sitting turned off for a while than it will if you check it immediately after you shut it off, because it takes a little time for the oil to go back down into the pan.
When he checks the oil before she leaves, the oil is pretty much all down in the pan because the car has been sitting, and that's when he'll find out how much oil is really in the engine.
EDIT - to the thumbs-downer: Blow it out your exhaust pipe, doofus.
Josh,
One of answerer's said you've asked this question a thousand times. It sounds like a communication problem in your family. Why don't you ask your dad and why don't you also ask your dad to teach you and your mother how to check your own oil and water. I think its pretty magnificant that he does what he does. He certainly can't find out if she's having a an affair, because oil and water don't equal anything but caring deeply for someone.
First off there shouldn't be water in it, I think you mean Coolant in the radiator, my car had a radiator leak and every morning me or my bf would check it. Same goes for oil if there is a leak it is wise to check it constantly
the easyiest way to open the hood is to get someonelse to open it for you and if their in the car already they have to say yes DUhhhhhhhhhh its a rule. maybe he had a bad accident while stranded or he may think it could be the last time they see each other. does the car have a gpd in it
He is trying to find out if she is having an affair. If she gets aggitated by the delay, he will know she has an appointment to meet someone.
Or maybe he is just being over-cautious and trying to look after her and the car.
Maybe he's obsessive-compulsive %26amp; thinks the car is gonna blow up. Why don't you just ask him why he checks the fluid levels so often?? Maybe he noticed its using oil or water which constitutes a problem. Just ask him!!
Why are you worried about this SOOOO MUCH!?!?!?!?!?!? You've asked this exact same question phrased differently multiple time. Come on man, get a life.
Have you ever thought to ask either of them why he does it?
