What kind of oil should i use for my car?

i have a 1996 audi a4 2.8l quattro with about 119,200 miles on it. which type of oil should i use? like high mileage, advanced protection ect. thanksWhat kind of oil should i use for my car?
any good grade that will match your driving area or habits. no need for outlandish oils just for mileage if vehicle is maintained properlyWhat kind of oil should i use for my car?
Very easy. Use a grade of oil that matches the viscosity requirements for your vehicle. That should be listed in your owner's manual. Make sure that you use a high quality synthetic oil (Mobil 1, Royal Purple, etc.) I prefer Mobil 1 and use a high quality filter (K%26amp;N, Bosch, etc). I use about a 6k-7k change interval and I have never had any problems.
What does the owner's manual suggest ? What does your mechanic suggest ? Ask the mechanic the same question you posed to us. Perhaps the synthetic is the way to go if you want another 119,200 miles from the vehicle.
a high mileage synthetic oil. it's best to refer to the owner's manual.
Use what the manufacturer suggests.
i would look up what the owner manual says and stick with that for best results
