HOW MANY QUARTS DO I NEED FOR MY CAR? AND WHAT TYPE OF OIL?

2002 VW JETTA 1.8THOW MANY QUARTS DO I NEED FOR MY CAR? AND WHAT TYPE OF OIL?
You must use ONLY oil that states on the label,';meets VW/Audi specification 502/505.'; These are ALL synthetic oils. NEVER use bulk quicky lube oil, or ANY oil that does not have the name ';VW'; on the back label somewhere. READ your owner's manual about fluid specifications!! I prefer Mobil One 0W-40 oil or ELF oil that meets VW's specifications. These oils prevent turbo bearing damage and protecrt engine seals and gasket materials. GET SMART!!!HOW MANY QUARTS DO I NEED FOR MY CAR? AND WHAT TYPE OF OIL?
We used 10w40 Total, Motul or Amsoil Synthetic for there cars when I worked at a VW/Audi Shop for the summer months. And 5w40 or 5w30 in late fall and winter. Put 4.5L in and then check it after it starts. Don't go over 9000k between changes with synthetic oil or 5000k with conventional oils ';P
4.6 by the manual. You can use basically any 10w-30 regular or synthetic just dont mix different oils if you can help it. Pick one and stick with it.
