unless you know what you are doing. i would advise on having it done. but the answer to your question. oil pans are always on the bottom of your engine.
you have to look for obstacles like cross member that either need to be removed or the engine lifted, this is a job best left to a professional

why do you think it needs to be replaced? while you're at it, get the exhaust bearings looked at. they always go out on that car.
