Oil light in my car HELP HELP?

My oil light has been coming on in my car when I stop for about a month now. It only comes on when the car is stopped (never when running) and if I slightly press the gas the light goes back off again. We have changed the oil pressure senser and the oil pump itself. Can any one please help with what may be wrong. I dint want my car to quit running I am scared to driver it.Oil light in my car HELP HELP?
Sounds like it could be your oil pressure relief valve that is not working properly. You say that you've had the pressure sensor and pump changed, but not the pressure relief valve. This not only relieves excess pressure in the system but it also maintains pressure as well, so if it is not working properly you will have the symptoms that you've described.Oil light in my car HELP HELP?
The obvious answer (but not necessarily the correct answer) is, you are low on oil.

Some cars (especially older cars) burn oil as a matter of course, you may need to put up to a quart of oil a week into your vehicle. When the vehicle is old this is because the seals around the pistons have worn and oil is taken into the combustion process.

In newer cars this could be indicative of a broken gasket, a bad valve, or even a cracked block or manifold. Hopefully this is not the case because this is a problem that needs to be fixed and it is expensive.

If your oil levels are OK, and you are still seeing the light, you could be dealing with a clogged oil filter, a (second) bad oil pump (yes sometimes replacement parts are bad too) or, from the symptoms you're describing, your idle may be set too low.
99% sure you are low on oil - Instead of just adding oil, get an oil change to remove the old gunk and add clean oil. The oil change places love to sell stuff that you don't want or necesarily need, just be firm - Oil change only please!! (this includes the oil filter).

Short version: get your a car a well deserved oil change for about $30.
a local auto parts store might be able to hook up your car to a little hand held device for free, and the car will tell you whats wrong with it by giving you a code

advanced auto parts did this for me for free once i think
Go to Autozone and have them take a look, it is cheaper than taking it in, and you find out whats wrong faster. If you live in Apple Valley, Ca go to the one on HWY 18 and ask for Joel, He is the best there.

Hope this information helps
Most likely your car is having an electrical problem, There probably isn't anything wrong, just an electrical problem.

One reason would be the use of (thin) synthetic oil.
it means you have low oil pressure.

do you have enough oil in your car?
Check you oil level. Is it full to the proper level?
