I took my car in to the Honda dealer for an oil change and they overfilled it with about a quart too much, it?

I got an oil change and they put too much oil in. I also got a new air filter and on my way to work, the car started missing. I took the car back in and the air filter was not installed correctly and they drained the oil and redid it. It is not missing now but does not run like it used too, it's a Honda CRV 2003 with 55,000 miles. A guy in the shop mentioned to me something about oil may get on the seals if it is too full. Any advice? I use the cheapest gas, but may switch just for 1 time. Please comment!I took my car in to the Honda dealer for an oil change and they overfilled it with about a quart too much, it?
i own a repair shop and it needs to be gotten out of there,is not good for a car to run it over full like that ,and yes it can cause some leaks from certain seals on it,id take it back to them and make then do it right this time, its actually better to run one a half a quart low then over,a half a quart low will not hurt any car but over it will cause a lot of seals to leak, and gaskets to start leaking,so id get this taken care of as soon as i could, good luck with it i hope this helps.I took my car in to the Honda dealer for an oil change and they overfilled it with about a quart too much, it?
II don't see what gas has to do with your problem. But since you brought it up. Since your such a cheap skate on gas why not change your own oil and filter. You can do it for half the cost and then you have only yourself to blame if it's not done correctly. By the way your really not saying any money by buying the cheapest gas either. My cars get better performance and gas mileage on premium than the cheap junk.
Your car is OK,is not good to run it overfilled, but is not a big deal neither.

even knowing that ,complain to the dealer that Your car is not the same.,and make a big deal out of nothing may be the next time ,You get the car serviced for free.

use 95 % cheap gas(non-amoco gas) and 5% premium gas from amoco.

the additves from amoco work fantastic on cheap gas, in that porcentage.
I suspect that you have contaminated the EGR valve exhaust gas recirculation valve.Take it back and ask to speak to the service manager its shoddy workmanship.
if it is overfilled with oil. the extra oil needs to be drained out. too much oil is not good. the crankshaft will whip the oil into a bubbly froth. the bubbles make lubrication not work right.

cheapest gas (lowest octane, like 87 octane) is OK for your car. not necessary to use higher grade.

hi dodge man. we seem to answer the same Q lots of times. you have a lot more experience than me, so, i agree with what dodge man says.
those people at that honda dealer don't know much about cars. Take it to a mechanic who really knows about cars and

they can do a much better job
i would have not payed for it and drive off cause they screwed up not u they are supposed to know how what where and when...stop payment also have enginge checked for compression vavle seals are now soak with oil and this is not good

u may need a engine cleaner that can clean them off such as ie: high octane gas will do ok but a good valve cleaner is better
keep complaining to the Honda dealer, and have them fix it, completely. They 4q up your car, and they are responsible for it.
