I need to top up the oil on my car what is the best kind?

i have a 1999 1300 hyundai accent and would like to know whats the best oil for the engineI need to top up the oil on my car what is the best kind?
Topping up you will be ok with 10-40. The brand isn't crittical The oil should be replaced at the next service with the correct grade and amount by your local garage.I need to top up the oil on my car what is the best kind?
10w 40 for your car....any make will do fine but if your asking Castrol is a safe bet!

All the best! : )
It's not really what's the 'best', more what is compatible. Best to consult the manufacturer's manual.
10/40
its normally the best idea to use the same oil that is already in it.

so to keep the oil grades the same
there is no ';best'; oil. Synthetic oil is shown to last longer and protect better but as far as brand goes, who can really tell? be sure to use the correct weight and viscosity. which can differ for different climates. the real question is why do you need to top off your oil? is your car burning oil? leaking it? is there a blow-by? you may want to take your car in and get it checked out. or if its just been awhile since your last oil change..you should change your oil. also i personally think Lucas' oil additive is great. but that might just be them successfully advertising to me. hope that helps!
The best engine oil is the oil recommended by the manufacturer, check in the back of the car's hand book it should tell you the correct grade and manufacturer.
castrol magnatec
whatever is factory recommended, check owners manual or parts store can tell you.
