Short answer: Yes

Long answer: See belowVeggie oil car?
Check out the site www.capegreenauto.com there is good info on there, and you can email them. Lots of good links too Report Abuse

Depends on what type of car it is. Late model VW and MB diesels do not require modifcations but ealrier models do.
My understanding of vegatable oil fuel is that there are two types.

The first type is the one that goes thru a chemical process that converts it into something resembling diesel fuel. For this you need a medium sized garage full of equipment.

The second type is primarily vegatable oil. This requires modifications to the diesel engine. It seems that this type starts the engine with diesel fuel and once the engine reaches a critical temperature the fuel is switched to veggie oil.

In either case you are in for a large initial investment.
