Does the car industry oils company's certified individual oils for the manufactured cars as in the past?

Looking at cars and the car industry in the past all different car manafactures using specied oils for there vehicles and today there seems to be a unversal oils that are used in all types of cars instead of having individual oils .In my opinion it will affect a cars performance as manafactured oils are even specified for the type of metal used in the car engine and gearboxs. All motor industry must have specified oils as even the magnetic compressed engine conversion for petrol engines need crank case oil as iit has a all aluminuim engine block and aluminuim head so the magnetic field will not be interfered with.Does the car industry oils company's certified individual oils for the manufactured cars as in the past?
I've read and reread your question, but I still have no idea what you are asking. Sorry.Does the car industry oils company's certified individual oils for the manufactured cars as in the past?
You are correct in your thinking. Its best to refer to the owners manual that comes with the purchase of a new vehicle for what the manufacturer says to use. Check with the manufacturer of the vehicle for the use of off brand fluids or oils if in doubt. In an emergency, universal brands of oil or fluids can be used.
