Why did my mom sit in her car with the hood up while my dad checked the oil and water in her car for her? ?

She was taking my brother and I to school that morning and he checked the oil and water in her car for her while she sat in it with the hood up and why is that and I need 20 answers in all please. Why did my mom sit in her car with the hood up while my dad checked the oil and water in her car for her? ?
Because he was the one checking it, not her. It's crowded under that hood, and it only takes one person to do the job. It's something that men do for women that helps to make them feel loved and looked after: or ';secure';. Security is a built in biological issue with women. A man that doesn't provide a degree of security for ';his woman'; often finds himself without one. Little things like this go a long way in the bonding process between mates. Why did my mom sit in her car with the hood up while my dad checked the oil and water in her car for her? ?
Because it doesn't make sense to jump out of the car. Why would you? You sit in the car so you can hit whatever lever or button is necessary to 'pop the hood' so the hood goes up. Do you jump out of the car at that point? No. Is it fascinating to watch someone check the oil? No. Is it more invigorating to stand on a street or in the driveway than to sit in the car and perhaps read a book or look through your purse or just think about all the things you have planned to do? NO.
Your parents seem to be stuck in the olden days when Dad was Mr. Macho and Mom was too weak and dumb to do things herself. Every female should know how to check all the stuff in her engine and to change her own tire if flat. Guys should know how to iron, sew and cook.
Well son..... If it isn't under the gas cap, most women don't really want to know anything about it. And to tell you the truth, there's allot of men that should leave it alone too.
Awww, oil and water guy! I knew you'd be back! Maybe now you'll finally crack the mystery behind this oil and water business you're so obsessed about. Good luck!
Is there a reason she shouldn't? Seems pretty normal to me. He checks the oil while she waits.
so you are upset that your mom didnt...help him? i think your dad did a gallant thing to help a damsel in distress. go dad! :)
lol go ask your mom
