How often should u change the oil in your car?

3,000 miles is just a marketing scam....i would say more around 5,000 miles is more realistic, as long as you use the right oil and maintain your vehicle....this difference should not matter at allHow often should u change the oil in your car?
Ever 3,000 miles or every 3 months which ever comes firstHow often should u change the oil in your car?
they say every 3000 miles but you can go to 5000 or more. I had a 1989 chevy celebrity i bought it with 70,000 miles and only changed the oil every 15,000 miles and it ran until it had 160,000 miles. the engine did not die. the fuel pump went out and had electrical problems
Every three-thousand(3,000) miles or three(3) months, whichever comes first or best fits you personal likings.
every 3 months
Depends on the make and model....

Most domestic cars are 3 months or 30000 miles which ever comes first.
every 3,000 miles or every 3 months, which ever comes first
every 3 thousand miles without fail! I learned this lesson a very hard and expensive way! i blew up both of my cars within three weeks of each ohter. i changed the oil maybe once a year! i will never do that again....
2500 beat the norm
every 3000 or 3 mouths
Every 3000 miles. If you use synthetic, you can extend to 5000 miles. Mobil has a new oil out that will protect for 15000 miles, but you'd still have to replace the filters every 3000.
old car/american car--3000 miles

new car/japanese car--5000 miles
Well while most people will say every 3000 miles, this is not the case. Use your car manual! If people would read their manuals they would realize that more often than not, modern day cars have a longer interval between changes. 3000 miles is a fine guide for older cars not using synthetic. New vehicles may have anywhere from 5000-15000 miles between changes. Just check what your manual says and you can't go wrong.
every smog test
City driving: 3,000 miles.

Highway travel: 7,000
Depends on the Car and the Oil, newer synethics can go 7500 even 15000 miles or more.

AMSOIL, it probably the best oil in the world and you only have to change the oil every 25000 or 1 year.

If everyone switched we would save billions of barrels of oil.
They say on Japanese cars 5000 american 3000 but from my Toyota dealer,,, they say if you want the car to last you the maximum amount it can 3000 miles is what you want to stay with.
every 2,500 miles if you want it to last a reallllly long time. Every 3,000 if you are less anal and your car isnt that old....every 3,500 in some ppl's opinion, but then you better check in between to top off your oil every now and again.
that depends on how often and how hard you drive your car, and also if it is diesel, or gasoline... I try to change my oil around 4,000 miles, but I don't drive my vehicle too often. A good idea is to check out your oil color around 3,000 miles, but unless it is terribly black, you can likely let it go for another thousand or so. Your maintenance manual (owner's manual) should give you the manufacturers recommendation, and it won't steer you wrong.
yeah they all say every 3000 miles thats not always true it depends on how much you use the car and whats its used for and also the oil you by they have good stuff and crappy stuff yeah i say normal driving with some ok oil i say every 3000 if the car is used hard i recamend every 1500-2500 miles
every 3 thousand miles but if it is a really old car with a lot of miles then every 1500
depends, usually every 3 to 5 thousand miles is ok,depends on whether or not its in whats considered a severe duty area
every 3 months or 3000 miles which ever comes first
every 3,000 miles or 3 months
Every 3 months or 3000 miles. Whichever comes first.
Every 3000 miles.
right before you junk it, lol
Changing unnecessarily often, 3k miles, is expensive and wasteful.

5k - 7.5k is much more reasonable.
