Oil change for my car. do i need to use engine flush?

my engine has only done 25 000 mile and i have been advised to use engine flush before a oil change then advised it wont need it. who do i believe?Oil change for my car. do i need to use engine flush?
If you've never changed the oil, it may not be a bad idea. You've already screwed your warranty, but that is a long time for oil to be in use. A flush will seriously thin the oil and allow far more of it to drain. Then try to stick to manufacturer recommendations on oil changes.

If you've been changing oil regularly, don't bother with a flush, just get your engine hot before the oil change. Five minutes idling is not anywhere near long enough (two miles driving will warm your oil more than 15 minutes idling) -- go for a 30 minute drive, at least, city or highway doesn't matter, so long as the engine and oil is truly hot for the oil change.Oil change for my car. do i need to use engine flush?
Tell me you haven't done 25,000 miles without an oil-change! If you HAVE had oil changes done before, I would not think that you need to flush that engine. I pour a little fresh cheap oil through when the filter is off and the sump has just drained - this makes sure that there is no old oil in the sump.

Rather than using flushing oils, if I buy an older car with a high-mileage engine on it, I buy TWO filters, and a can of cheap oil, and do a filter change and give it cheap oil for two weeks, then change oil and filter for the good stuff. I don't have problems with old engines and high mileages!
no wait til it has 200,000 miles before and really it never needs it if you change the oil when one should. more than likely i bet the person wanting you to spend more money at his shop would advise you to get more work done they you needed... been driving over 40 yrs and working on cars almost as long only time one really needs to flush any part of motor would be from age and lack of care like oil changes it dont need it if you replace oil when you should if you drive it and dont do a oil change for a year maybe yes it shoul d be done
No you dont need engine flush, especially if its a new engine.

If its an old , old, old, engine you dont know anything about then maybe but i doubt it.

But you are suppose to change your engine oil/filter every 3000 miles

to get the longest performance out of it.

I do this on my 96 silverado i bought brand new %26amp; i have 240,000 miles on it as of now.
NO!

Flush is designed to remove sludge and other oil byproducts, but what is the base for all those products? Oil.

That stuff will remove oil from essential lube points, like bearrings(rod).

It was created for higher mileage cars but some so-called techs started using it (they did not notice that most of those vehicles were cold star vehicle they sludge more than cars that are allowed enough drive time to hit normal operarating temps) on lower mileage vehicles.

Most of my vehicles have gone 300K mi. only on an oil change with oil filter every 3Kmi./3mo.

Don't fix it if it aint broke!
In about a month the computer will show ';service due'; that is after 15.000 miles, and that will be the first service, i know the ';MERCEDES'; agency will do whatever the manufacturers instructions detail them to do, and if flushing is part of it, so be it....................................
Do not use engine flush, It has harmful chemicals in it which can remain in the engine and contaminate your new oil. The best way is instead of using engine flush, use some new normal engine oil, run it hot for 10 minutes then drain immediately.
You do not need to flush out the oil sump.

Doing regular oil changes with a quality product will prevent the possibility of ';sludge'; that needs to be cleaned out.

Refer to your owner's manual for futher insight.
With the quality of today's oils, you don't need a flush, simple as that. I bet they make money on that service, since there's no way to tell if it was even done.

Make sure they don't want to flush the windshield wiper fluid system too!!
If you have changed you oil regularly (recommended maintenance) you do not need a flush. However, if you have not changed it in 25,000 miles you will be better off with the flush.
Yeah, it is very important that you do this at least for the first major service. It will get rid of all the little bits of metal taht are created when an engine is run in for the first time.
25,000 without an oil change? Have it flushed professionally!

If you have been changing the oil regularly, you don't need an engine flush.
Run the engine for 5 minutes before you take the sump plug out - warm oil will drain better. Use engine flush if you want but use plain old paraffin instead - it's cheaper by far
No you don't need Engine flush. That is just a gimmick.

Drain the oil, change the oil filter then refill it with new oil.

%26amp; your done!
If the oils been changed regularly dont bother. Just be sure to get the engine good and warm before draining the old oil.

Regards
You don't need to use engine flush, but it will help to clean the system out.
Just change the oil and oil filter.
