Change the oil and filter. My car has been siting for 8 months and now seems to have loud lifters will an oil change fix it? was quiet b4?
Fresh oil and a couple hundred miles of driving should help with the noisy lifters.

Before you change the oil a can of engine oil flush would also help clean out the oil passages inside the engine. Engine oil flush is a strong solvent added to your oil.

Follow the instructions on the can exactly. The engine oil flush will thin your oil. Do not drive the car with the engine oil flush in the oil.

To use you usually allow the engine to reach full operating temperature. Add the engine oil flush. Start the engine. Allow it to idle at normal idle speed for about 15 minutes. Then change your oil and filter as usual. However, follow the instructions on the can as these may differ from my instructions.
