Is it bad to mix different types of motor oil to put in my car??

can i mix different types of car oils??Is it bad to mix different types of motor oil to put in my car??
meh your not supposed to , especially if its synthetic and regularIs it bad to mix different types of motor oil to put in my car??
As long as thry're the same grades and weight, it's probably okay.
No where will you find any dealer, manufacturer, independent shop, auto technician or other sane person that worries about it! That includes mixing synthetic and non-synthetic oil such as you can buy known as ';synblend'; and is your best choice in motor oils (for the price) today.
ex, 5w-30 regular oil and you are not able to find 4 quarters in the same brand name (mobil) yes you can use any different brands of oil, as long it is 5w-30.


You are not able to mix 5w-30 regular with 5w-30 synthetic, you never do that! neither 5w-30 with 15w-40.
No,Dont do it! This could cause clotting and may partially block the oil ways in the engine.This means poor lubrication.I will suggest you stick to one oil grade at a time.
it's not the best thing to do but it's better than letting it run low. most motor oils are compatible and it won't do any real harm in the short term.
