Oil with gas in 1970 car thats sat around 8 years?

I saw on the internet a while back someone recommending that for the first tank of gas that you put in a car after it sitting for a few years that u should put ';marvel oil'; in with the gas. I hadn't heard of putting anything other than putting octane booster or injector fluid in the gas tank EVER, so I'm pretty unsure if I should do this or not. If someone knows if this really is recommended or if I should definately not do this, please let me know!Oil with gas in 1970 car thats sat around 8 years?
If it sat with gasoline all those years and wasn't run, I'd drain, remove and flush the gas tank, blow out the gas lines, replace the fuel filter and pressure test the fuel pump or just replace it. Fuel pumps from that era that have sat for that long will usually have a rotted diaphragm which won't last long at all. When they go you wind up with gas in the oil pan and lose an engine to bearings having the oil washed off. As to putting ';Marvel Mystery Oil'; in the tank that's up to you. It's really too late. If the plugs weren't removed and the cylinders squirted full of oil before it was stored the rust, if any will already be there and nothing you put in the tank will prevent it from doing damage. If the car was run occasionally during those 8 years everything may be fine.Oil with gas in 1970 car thats sat around 8 years?
Anymore then 1/4 of a tank. I would drain the tank myself and start fresh from there. Using old gas is like putting water in your oil , not a good match. I wouldn't use any additives.
You can, but it's not really necessary.
