Does it leave a wet spot after you add oil? If so you may have any number of seals leaking. Maybe during your last oil change the people you had do it left the old filter seal on the engine, which if not removed will leak massively and suddenly. If no wet spots are under your car then it is probably burning the oil. This is evident by acrid smelling white exhaust smoke. That is a little more labor intensive and thus more expensive to fix. Could be rings, valve seals or even a head gasket. good luckWhy does my car run out of engine oil quickly I only filled it up 3 weeks ago and now its empty please help?
Only two answers here.
It is smoking like a train
Or pissing on the ground.
One quart low at highway speed is bad for an engine.
Get it fixed fast as you can, or don't drive it.
Valve cover leaking oil.Valve cover is the top cover on your engine.Place a large piece of cardboard under your car at night run over it to make sure it does not blow away.then in the morning get up and you can see right where it is coming from.
Is it leaving puddles of oil when you park it? Or is it blowing blue smoke when you drive it? Either way, it needs repairs.
You have an oil leak somewhere. Bring it to a shop to get it checked out.
