Car leaking oil. what do i do to stop it?

i changed the oil filter... and emptyed the oil and put new one in but it still leaks. what do i do?Car leaking oil. what do i do to stop it?
if it was not leaking before the oil change. pull the filter back off and make sure that the old gasket came off with it( sure you can do that without pulling the new one off but i do have another step here, make sure that there is not any debris on the gasket or mounting plate. double check the drain plug to make sure that you have a gasket on it and that it is tight, if you gave me a make and or model i could give you a torque spec for that one and yes there is a spec for that.Car leaking oil. what do i do to stop it?
Get a piece of clean cardboard put it under the car at night to try and figure where the oil is leaking, it could be as simple as the filter is not tight or there is a little dirt where the filter meets.

Or it could be a gasket cover, maybe something simple, maybe you just slopped oil on the motor, try to figure out exactly where its coming from and how much you are loosing a day.
Take it to a car mechanic after double checking that you have put the correct amount of oil into the car. Leaking oil can come from several places, and it would be extremely rare that changing the oil and filter would fix that.
u might have to change ur head gaskets. happened to my grand am all the time. take it in to a shop or have soemoen take a look at it.
Right...more info needed. What kind of oil leaks (brake, power steering...)???

Bottom line: costly once determined what type and from where
If its not a real bad leak try some lucas oil in it.
Need more info. Leaking from WHERE?
take it to be checked out. don't seem like you know much about cars.
