I've obnly heard good things about Lucas productsHas anyone ever used Lucas Oil Product in their car and do they do what they say they will?
i used it in my gas and the power steering before and it seems to work somewhat well.i cant see its worth the money you pay for it.
There ain't nothing in this world that does what the ads say it will.
i have used there transmisson additive and it works great
I have used the Lucas power steering stop leak and it really did stop a leak for me and also have seen the Lucas trans. additive stop some slipping in an older auto trans! As for the oil supp. I am against using additives in my oil! All you need is a good oil and change it regularly! For all oil and additive answers check out www.bobistheoilguy.com VERY VERY informative
yes I have used lucas products for years, as for the stop leak if the leak isn't major then it will stop it.very good products and i highly recommend them
Yes. I used their oil conditioner in my 85 LTD. It made a lot of difference, because the bottom end bearings were so worn that the rods knocked like crazy when it started up. Lucas kept the oil from draining out of the bearings and kept things lubed better down there, so no more knocking rods. It also slowed down or sometimes even stopped an oil leak in the rear seal. I also used their transmission fluid conditioner, and the shifting improved a lot. It slipped a lot before that. My LTD had well over 250,000 miles on it. I would recommend it for anyone who has a worn-out car with a buttload of miles on it that they want to squeeze some more miles out of before they scrap it.
i know that may ';p'; off a lot of people out in the lube land, but the plain and simple fact is, change your oil and other lubes within the manufactures recommended intervals, and every thing will be cool with the vehicle. the only thing that these products do is to prolong the life(sometimes) of the vehicle to get it somewhere to trade or sell. just think for a moment,,,, times up, if that stuff was that good wouldn't they be putting into the vehicle to begin with? just perform all the required maintenance that is listed in the owners manual, and you should be o.k. and remember, just as in you're health, there are no ';miracle'; cures for anything.
I have a friend who told me about the Lucas Oil...he told me to use about half of the quart each time I change the oil. He has an Izusa %26lt;sp? with over 200,000 miles on it and it is still going just fine and dandy. He has driven it all over the United States so something is working nicely. Try it...it works for him beautifully.
I can't remember the year of his auto.
i have used there products for 8 yrs now and they do work well, they are not a cure for mechanical failure but they do as advertised.i have been very happy with the results
