Car , oil problem ????????

OK , here's the issue. My oil light stays open when i start the engine and for several other secs when i keep moving. Sometimes it flashes when the car is moving on the road. I checked the level of the oil with a friend and we saw that the level of the oil was too MUCH!? It was more that needed , so my friend assumed that maybe a pipe is broken inside the car and water comes in with the oil in the engine so the water stays on the bottom and the oil on top so that's why when we checked the oil level was showing too much.

Now another friend said that since the light doesn't stay open always while moving then it would be a damage inside the electronics of the car, and nothing relating the hydraulics of the car.

Now a third opinion would be nice , so if you could just brainstorm all of the possible problems and solutions for my case it would be great.Car , oil problem ????????
If the oil level is too high inside the engine, it can get smacked by the crankshaft as it turns, causing it to foam. When that happens, you can wind up with your oil pump trying to suck up foam - not gonna happen.

If there is water in your oil, foaming is a distinct likelihood. The light doesn't come on all the time, just when the car is moving - like around turns or when accelerating or stopping: the oil sloshes one way or the other, effectively raising the level of oil in part of the engine, high enough to actually come into contact with the crank throws.

If water is getting into your oil, that's really bad - being heavier than the oil, that's what gets pumped around your lube system the most. For your sake I hope that isn't the case, but if it is I would suspect a leaking head gasket.

Change your oil and fill up to the correct level on the dipstick; that will probably take care of it. If the problem comes back, then the head gasket should be the next thing you check.Car , oil problem ????????
Isn't the oil light related to oil pressure not oil level?

The oil light will go on for only two reasons: either the oil is low giving low oil preasure or the oil pump has stopped pumping because of a faulty pump or blockage.
If there was water or antifreeze mixed with it, the oil would be foamy looking and smell of antifreeze.

It is probably unlikely that you have too much oil. That wouldn't make the light come on anyway. It's because you do not have enough oil pressure. You may have an oil pump going bad, or a more likely scenario is that it has been a long time since you changed your oil and the light is coming on because old oil takes a while to start circulating properly, thus the light comes on until the car is warmed up.

If you haven't had an oil change in a while, do that first. If it still happens, have your oil pump checked.
