If the car has no oil and the engine seizes, is it a definite loss?

Most likely! Sounds like you now have a very expensive boat anchor!

Did you ever check the oil? Did the ';Check engine'; light ever come on? Do you know how to check the oil? Is the engine many moons old?

If so--yep--very expensive fix needed! And, a very expensive lesson learned! If the car has no oil and the engine seizes, is it a definite loss?
well the motor is a loss yesIf the car has no oil and the engine seizes, is it a definite loss?
If your really lucky sometimes you can get away with it!

Take out all the spark plugs then spray WD40 into the holes and soak the cylinders!

Then after a while try to turn the crankshaft with a socket on a breaker bar!
once the engine seizes your basically screwed.. you can get away with it on older engines because there is hardly anything to them spray everything in the engine with engine oil you might be lucky good luckk!!
:-( Yes...........
Engine seized when run without oil?

You can bet the farm it's a complete loss, save maybe the basic block which can have the cylinders re-bored, block resurfaced and line bored - and including all of the internal parts replacement - a rebuilt engine assembly is definitely the route to go.
